I guess if I had to sum it up in a few words it would be ,I have had a great life and I wouldn't change a thing, well maybe a few things( would have done more) but as a whole I have been very happy. I have gotten to do it all and I'm still going. As a student I had learning problems, hyper etc. but I found out in the long run that ADHD people really do have more fun. My mind goes constanly...I still can't spell, can't write , but my creativity and imagination won't stop...I'm formely back in college,very active artist and most of my friends are artist with ADHD including my absent minded prof.What fun we have.I never knew school could be so much fun. What I do for work ( if you want to call it that) or what I do to get paid is i'm a documetary photographer. I have been documenting 3 generations of hippies for the last 3 years.The book we are working on will be called "Welcome Home". Every year I have to backpack up into a secluded area were over 20,000 hippies on July 4th meet to pray for world peace. Each year this hippy gathering will meet in an undiclosed area. Last year it was in Calf. high mountains .The backpack weight almost 50 lbs. with all the camera equipment etc.Go to Rainbow gathering 2004 if you are interested in what I'm doing. No I'm not a hippy but I am a free spirit person. I lived in Eugene Oregon a few years back and that's were I met the hippies and have been documenting them ever since. My husband Ray is a pilot and that adds to more adventure. Well This gives you insite of who I am now...well guess I was this way back in school too....Write if you like........OH! NO! preparation, I learned by doing it; a challenging, stressful career!);
1967-97 Married Tom Branch (we met at college) and lived in Mishawaka, raising
two wonderful sons: Kevin (28) missionary linguist in Peru, S.A. and
Myron (24) married student in ministerial studies at Bethel College;
1976-85 Full-time mom (my favorite occupation!), cub-scout den mother, adult
literacy tutor, remedial reading tutor at Twin Branch Elementary,
active in church choir and Bible classes, helped begin new church in
So.Bend, raised big garden and preserved produce, etc.;
1979-98 Board of Directors, Crown International, Inc. Elkhart's manufacturer of
high-tech electronics products marketed globally (corporate governance
is a fascinating responsibility);
1985-97 Secretary of the Corporation, Crown International (another career in
which I learned by doing) included ghost-writing for the President;
1997- City Director for So. Bend/Elkhart metro for Crown Ministries, national
oranization which has enabled over 150,000 people learn to manage their
finances the way God planned (very satisfying to help people gain
control of their money and experience freedom from debt!);
1997- Moved to Dunlap and bought a house across the creek from Concord Jr Hi!

I've been a career substitute teacher for 9 years. I really like being able to take breaks from work when I need to. We love to kayak at our favorite places the Elkhorn Slough at Moss Landing in Monterey County and on Coyote Lake in Gilroy.
Our 2 children Mark 40 and Dawn 36, and 7 grandchildren ages 2 -14 all reside in Michigan so we travel to the Grand Rapids area to visit them. Unfortunately, we don't make it to Elkhart very often.

After being gone for 28 years, my husband, Greg, and I returned to Indiana. We bought a home on the golf course at Eagle Pointe in Bloomington. We met here 35 years ago and are ghappy to return. We both finished our BAs here and eventually completed a masters (me) and an MD degree(him) at Indy. From there, it was on to Central Michigan for a brief time, daughter, Stefanie, was born there (Midland). Then on to Rochester, Minn., for 5 years for residency at Mayo Clinic and birth of our son. Finally coming to rest in Upstate NY for 22 years. The unhearlded snow capital of the universe, averaging 120 inches per year. Two years ago with 192 inches, I threw in the white flag and put the farm up for sale. Presto!!!Blmgtn. We both are avid golfers and travelers. We have time shares in Portugal and Africa and enjoy visiting both. We regulary spent a month in So. Africa every other year. We leave next month for 3 weeks studying penguins in Antarctica. I have the good fortune to be married for 38 years to my grade school roller-skating sweetheart. Carol and I have three children and seven grandchildren, all a thousand miles away in Colorado where we also lived for over 21 years. We now reside in the Elkhart area.
After earning my degree in Communications from Goshen College I added two years of seminary and six years of post-graduate study in finance to my education portfolio. Never content to follow a single trail, my career paths have included pastoring six churches over a period of 25 years, owning an accounting business for 15 years, and serving in public office for two 4-year terms. (Some of this was obviously done simultaneously!)
Along the way, I have run marathons (including Pikes Peak), raced bicycles, volunteered on a number of nonprofit boards, maintained my clarinet skills, taught high school and college courses in music, accounting and communications, and served as campaign treasurer for a US Congressman.

Was married 20 years and been divorced since spring of 2002. I wanted and got custody. My kids have been my life for over 22 years. I have three kids, oldest son born in 84 is in the Navy, daughter born in 86 is married and has a son born dec 06 and youngest son born in 91, the last day of Desert Storm, lives with me in Washington. I spent 25 years a carpenter, a few years on dairy and grain farms, a season and a half working at ski resorts and since Aug 2000 been at a computer designing roof and floor trusses with CAD and engineering programs which is what got me to the Seattle area in October of 04. It is beautiful here and doesn't rain any more than in Indiana, in fact for past two summers it hasn't rained but a sprinkle or two from May to October. And when it does rain, it's more like a midwest drizzle, not the driving rain of Indiana. We live on Winona Lake and are very busy with lake activities when we can get away from the daily grind. We also love to travel in our Bounder motor home. Our main activities seem to center around, church, school, and family.

I married Steve Brown, college sweetheart, who played football at Texas Tech (Bill Parcels was his linebacker coach). He runs his own Irrigation/Landscaping Company (Commercial/Residential). Proud mother segway: We have 3 gorgeous boys: Sean Patrick(20), Thomas Sullivan(16), and Jack Logan(11). Sean graduated 2002 and received a Congressional Nomination to WestPoint; played Rugby in New Zealand, and is an Eagle Scout. Thomas is huge, size 17/18 shoe; GT, never stops eating, project away from Eagle Scout; and still keeps eating. Jack is my baby, all boy, catch him jumping off the roof into the pool and always social. Kids are Renaissance and into everything- house is always filled with kids. We LOVE Rangers Baseball/Cowboys Football/Stars Hockey/Spurs Basketball. Enjoy outdoors, HD TV, and life in general. Mom died 2 years ago and dad passed last week during spring break. I have a great life. We have dogs, land at the coast (Rockport) beaches/fishing. We live in Austin (didn't vote for Bush) about 1 mile off the lake. Nothing pretentious about our family; we'd live in the country if we could make a living. Lights are always on and there is always an extra plate at the table. I'd love to hear from any of you. Latest update (26-Nov 2007) on my life ... Well I thought my life needed a change of scenery as well as other things. Since my last update (3+ years ago) I was divorced, left my job at Lincoln Electric and left Northeast Ohio.
I now live in San Antonio, Texas and am working as a Sr. Project Manager for Tesoro Companies. I've met some great people and I'm having a good time. My son is still at Maone. My daughter is married to a great guy and working on her schooling at Malone as well.
I've remarried to a great lady here in San Antonio and we've found a great house to share with a pool that feels really good on those 100 degree days.

I moved to the Dallas area a little over 2 years ago, after living in Oregon and Arizona for the previous 14 years. Wow time flies! I have 1 son, Garrett, who is now 11 and really into sports. We get back to Elkhart once every summer, to see family, escape the heat, and visit the local establishments!
After working in the manufactured home and mortgage business, I bought a Dairy Queen a year ago. It has been a fun, new challenge. It keeps me busy, but allows time to coach Garrett's baseball team and golf (I suck at golf)

This past year I have also been the CEO of Meridian Creative Artist Management in NYC but I recently left that company and have been concentrating on my own productions. He loves skate boarding, playing drums and you don't want to be in his crosshairs when playing computer games. He has joined the Niles High School cross country and track teams. Elisha, with dark brown hair, born in '95 is Mr smart guy and is way ahead in his schooling. He will terrorize you if you play him in computer games. Elisha wants to run on the cross country and track teams. Josiah, another red head, born in '97 is also a smartie pants. Josiah is also a crack shot in the computer games. He started at age 5 and when he was age 6 he was defeating the college boys. They kept getting angry with him because they thought he was too good. They thought he was hacking with all his perfect head shots. The problem was he could not read the messages they were typing at him. I taught him to type, "I am 6." Can you say humble pie? I met my wife Gail Thompson of Niles, MI at Taylor University. She used to play clarinet in the Niles High School band. She is very active in the Niles Area Homeschool group and with kids programs at church. She is well respected for her childrens programs leadership. I now create ELISA and ImmunoStrip tests that detect viruses, bacteria, fungus and GMO proteins in plants at Agdia, Inc of Elkhart, IN. I am also deadly with a compound bow during archery season for deer. Bowtech rocks and my arrows fly at 318 feet per second. Matthews bows are good too. While attending Taylor University in Upland, IN I took 10th place at the NAIA Nationals for the 1500 meters. My time in the trials, 3:51.73 (equivalent to a 4:08 mile or a 4:07 1600 meters, could have been faster, I jogged the last 50 yards because I was saving myself for the finals), would have placed me second in the finals. Too bad I did not recoup well. I ran a 3:55 (4:12 mile equivalent) in the finals and got 10th place. The guy that won was Michael Jackson, Olympic runner from Bermuda, with a time of 3:48. If I could have recouped I think I could have made him work for it. I have lived in AZ the past 13 yrs. I am just a few hours from Hollywood, Vegas and Mexico. We have the best of everything here. Many hiking trails in the mountains, and a little thing we like to call....the Grand Canyon! Historic sites like Tombstone and Prescott and other ghost towns. If I ever do miss the winter or snow, I can drive 1 hour north to Payson and play in the snow and then return home and get back into my shorts. Final thought, out here it doesn't matter what kind of job, or house or material things you have. We have six kids (33, 32, 29, 25, 24, 20) and 9 grandkids ranging in ages from 15 to 1 (mine and his, no "ours") with grandchild #10 due in November (and adding another one by marriage in October). The critter count is back up to five cats, Dude, Chicklet (5 year old brother and sister) and Jamie, the 11 year old orange calico that looks a bit like Garfield; Grayson, 6 month feral that looks like a Russian Blue; and Alastair, 5 months, that is dark, dark sable (looks almost black), reminds me of a breed I can't remember at this second! But he's short and cute!
Don and I do most things together (marriage the second time around has been most enjoyable). He is transitioning back to his old Army career working at Homeland Security in DC. I take the train to Rosslyn, VA to work at the Dept. of State.
I enjoy time with my husband, family and friends , church activities, singing in the church choir, reading, music, the cats, water sports, and needle work (in no particular order). Now as to how good I might be at any of those activities is another question I refuse to answer on the account I may incriminate myself.

For the last 10 years I've been working as a computer and telecommunications service technician and engineer. I just started with ESCO Communications last year after my previous employer closed the division in which I worked.

Hi all! After living in the Elkhart area all my life, we moved to Louisville, Kentucky in September 2000. I have been married to Joe (from Fort Wayne) since 1989 and we have two boys; Zackery (16) and Samuel (13). I worked in marketing (primarily medical) for 10+ years, but gave up my career when we moved to Kentucky. I graduated from clown school in 1994 and am known as "Penny Whiffles the Clown". Yes, I wear a red nose, big shoes, and make balloon animals. It's the best job ever!

I am married to the former Dawn McAleer (Elkhart Central 1983) and we have two boys Cory (19) a freshman at Radford and Ryan (15). I live in Virginia Beach, VA and really don't plan on moving again. I retired from the Navy april 4th after serving 20 years. I decided to retire after sitting off the coast of Iraq for the 4th time since 1990. I am enjoying my life as a civilian and working for a mechanical engineer. I love the low stress job where I am not going into harms way everytime I go to work. I check the CHS website quiet often and really wish that I would have made the 20th reunion. On the night of the 20th, I was conducting boarding of foreign ships in support of the war on terrorism.

Tell 4th now 14 loves track and although not born with natural ability to run hurdles has the determination I have never seen before in everything he does he lost hearing due to ear infections caused by Betty's smoking over came speech problems and now has a lead role in the school play and is class president fourth year running.
Kimberly 13 wow what a young lady she is shy but very powerful in all sports making it tuff for her to chose sports she likes most and was even a basketball cheerleader this year.
