Comment: My life journey (briefly):
1945-67 Lived at the "end of the line" for Concord's bus#5, West Mishawaka Rd; 1963-67 Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN - BA in English Literature;
1967-76 Opened and operated Branch Advertising Agency in Elkhart (no academic
preparation, I learned by doing it; a challenging, stressful career!);
1967-97 Married Tom Branch (we met at college) and lived in Mishawaka, raising
two wonderful sons: Kevin (28) missionary linguist in Peru, S.A. and
Myron (24) married student in ministerial studies at Bethel College;
1976-85 Full-time mom (my favorite occupation!), cub-scout den mother, adult
literacy tutor, remedial reading tutor at Twin Branch Elementary,
active in church choir and Bible classes, helped begin new church in
So.Bend, raised big garden and preserved produce, etc.;
1979-98 Board of Directors, Crown International, Inc. Elkhart's manufacturer of
high-tech electronics products marketed globally (corporate governance
is a fascinating responsibility);
1985-97 Secretary of the Corporation, Crown International (another career in
which I learned by doing) included ghost-writing for the President;
1997- City Director for So. Bend/Elkhart metro for Crown Ministries, national
oranization which has enabled over 150,000 people learn to manage their
finances the way God planned (very satisfying to help people gain
control of their money and experience freedom from debt!);
1997- Moved to Dunlap and bought a house across the creek from Concord Jr Hi!
